My name is {{childName}}, and this is my story about asking my teacher for help. If I am stuck, hurt, or unsure what to do, I can ask my teacher for help. Helping children is a big part of a teacher's job. It is always okay to ask.

To ask for help, I can raise my hand and wait. When the teacher looks at me, I can say, 'Can you help me, please?' If something is an emergency, I can say so straight away — emergencies do not have to wait.

Sometimes the teacher is helping someone else first. Other children need help too, just like me. I can wait calmly, or try another part of my work until the teacher comes. My turn will come.
