My name is {{childName}}, and this is my story about going to the dentist. The dentist is a friendly person whose job is to keep teeth healthy and strong. Lots of children visit the dentist for a check-up. I go with a grown-up, so I am not on my own.

First, I sit in the waiting room. There might be books or toys to look at while I wait. Other people may be waiting for their turn too. When it is my turn, the dentist will call my name and say hello.

In the dentist's room, I sit in a big chair that can move up and down. The dentist counts my teeth with a little mirror and checks that they are clean. There might be a bright light and a buzzing sound, and that is okay. Most check-ups do not hurt. I can open my mouth wide to help the dentist see.

When the check-up is finished, the chair comes back down and I can hop off. Sometimes there is a sticker to take home. Sitting in the chair and letting the dentist check my teeth is a big job, and I did it. My teeth are checked and healthy!
