My name is {{childName}}, and this is my story about my first day at my new school. First days can feel exciting and a little nervous at the same time, and that is okay. Lots of children feel both things on a first day. This story tells me what will happen.

In the morning, a grown-up walks me in. I hang my bag on a hook and say hello to my teacher. Saying hello helps the day start in a friendly way.

Then my teacher shows me where to sit and where things are kept. There will be other children in my class. Some of them are new too. It is okay to feel shy at first — feeling shy usually gets smaller as the day goes on.

During the day, I listen to the teacher, do activities, play at break time, and eat my lunch. The day has different parts, one after another. If I need anything, I can ask my teacher. Asking is always okay at school.

At the end of the day, a grown-up picks me up. I can tell them all about my first day — what I saw, who I met, and what I did. I finished my whole first day at my new school. That is a very big thing to be proud of!
