My name is {{childName}}. This is my story about starting at my new school. Soon I will go to a new school. A new school can feel exciting and a little nervous at the same time, and that is okay. Many children feel this way about new places.

On my first day, a grown-up brings me to school. I will meet my new teacher, who knows I am coming. The teacher will show me my classroom and my spot. Teachers help new children settle in — it is part of their job.

Over the day, I learn where things are — the toilet, the lunch area, and the playground. I do not have to remember everything at once. If I forget where something is, I can ask. Bit by bit, the new school will start to feel familiar.

At the end of the day, a grown-up picks me up. I can share what I saw and did at my new school. Tomorrow I will know a little more than today. Every day at my new school will get easier — that is how new places work.
