My name is {{childName}}. This is my story about visiting the doctor. The doctor's job is to help people stay healthy and feel better. Lots of children visit the doctor for check-ups. I go with a grown-up, who stays with me the whole time.

First, I wait in the waiting room with a grown-up. Waiting can take a little while, and that is okay. I can look at a book or play a quiet game while I wait. When the doctor is ready, my name is called.

In the doctor's room, the doctor might listen to my chest, look in my ears, or check how tall I am. These checks help the doctor know my body is healthy. Most of the time, a check-up does not hurt. If I feel unsure, I can hold the hand of a grown-up.

When the check-up is finished, we can go home. The doctor knows how my body is doing, and that helps keep me healthy. I sat through my check-up and answered questions. That was brave, and I can feel proud of myself.
