My name is {{childName}}. This is my story about feeling sad. Everyone feels sad sometimes, and I do too. Sad feelings can come when something is hard or disappointing, or when I miss someone. Sadness is a normal feeling.

Sadness can look different for different people. Sometimes it means tears. Sometimes it means feeling quiet, or wanting to be alone for a little while. All of these are okay ways to feel sad.

When I feel sad, there are things that can help. I can have a hug. I can do a calm or favourite activity. I can talk to a grown-up about my sad feeling. Sharing a sad feeling with someone usually helps it feel lighter.
